Daddy's taking us to the zoo!

We went for a family trip to the zoo this past weekend. Trent recently bought himself a season pass and has been taking Renz to the zoo quite regularly. When free tickets came up at work for the whole family, Trent snatched some up for us all to go together. Lorenzo was SO excited! Especially once we got to the car park! He knew exactly where we were and that he was in for an awesome day!

We recently got a ride on skateboard attachment for our pram that Lorenzo really likes. It's been so great! This is us cruising into the zoo:

First we saw the "A-guins!" (penguins).

Not long after we arrived, it started to rain. We found a little covered area to sit down until it passed. Perfect to fill Nate up! 

We wandered around with Lorenzo happily hoping on and off his board as we stopped at each animal. 

One of Lorenzo's favourites animals are turtles. And Trent and I love how he says "tur-tool."

It was funny to see Renz running around the reptile enclosure like he owned the joint. Snakes are just second nature to him. 

Lorenzo is getting so good at saying all of the names of animals. "Abra" for zebra, "jraf" for giraffe, "a-fent" for elephant... One of my favourites this visit was "I know!" for rhino. Very cute!! Some animals are still only referred to by their noise. "Raaah" for lions, "e-eek" for monkeys, "tweet-tweet" or "kwawk-kwawk" (squawk) for birds... 

Another favourite section of to zoo for Lorenzo is all of the monkeys. He loves finding them in the enclosures and watching them jump and play.

Daddy bought Renz his very own monkey to take home from the zoo! He has lovingly been named "E-eek." 

"E-eek" is now his favourite soft toy which is a big call when you know how much he loves Woof, Moo and Spot! 

Going to the zoo is made so much more exciting when you have a Renzasaurus to go with!
